Queens skaters fundraise for quake - 28/05/2008

A quartet of Queens skating mothers rolled up their sleeves and buried their arms in bowls of flour as part of a ‘bake-in cake sale’ to fundraise for the China earthquake and Burma cyclone victims.

The quartet – Jo Clarke, Elza Easton, Kirsten Fear and Natasha Kinsky – badgered and cajoled Queens regulars to take part in the ‘bake-in’ only to find there was no shortage of willing volunteers. The event was a huge success with the money collected boosted by a free dance exhibition performed by Charlotte Clements and Dickie Arbiter.

The quartet thank everyone – Queens skaters, parents and staff – who generously gave of their time and support to help swell the Save the Children Fund coffers by £705. Follow the link below to see Charlotte and Dickie in action... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5NAPC2qKL0
