Italian artisan ice cream company Bella Gelato is new to London and located in one of the capital’s premier entertainment venues, Queens Ice and Bowl.

Bella Gelato is an independent operation and is run by trained, experienced people who are passionate about artisan ice cream. Our aim is to deliver Beautiful Italian Gelato, using only the finest Italian products and the freshest ingredients available.

We follow traditional Italian recipes as well as creating new exciting flavours such as mouth watering Kiwi and the hottest ice cream in the world Chilli Chocolate! a bespoke ice cream first created in the Bella Gelato kitchens.

Our Gelato Ice Cream

Bella Gelato offer you the Italian style Gelato and Sorbetto. Gelato is the creamy range that contains milk and has therefore a warmer flavour. Sorbetto is a dairy free option made with fresh fruits, mineral water and sugar.

Gelato

First of all, the question that everyone wants us to answer: What is gelato?

It is simply ice cream, Artisan Gelato that is made at Bella Gelato is created using fresh and authentic ingredients, home made with care and passion to deliver you the creamiest textures and mouth watering flavours.

The main differences from a normal industrial ice cream are:

• Bella Gelato contains no preservatives, indeed you can taste the freshness in your mouth
• Bella Gelato has a lower fat content compared to a premium industrial ice cream and contains on average 50 to 60 percent less fat. Bella Gelato has approximately 6% to 10% fat, an industrial ice cream contains 14% to 24% fat.
• Bella Gelato sorbets contain zero percent fat!
  The lower fat content is good for two reasons, firstly it is healthier and secondly, the lower the fat content the fuller the flavour of the ice cream.
• Bella Gelato is held at a higher temperature compared to industrial ice cream. This creates the velvety texture that we are famous for. If you purchase for home we recommend you take your gelato out of the freezer 20 minutes before serving.

Sorbetto

Bella Gelato sorbet’s include the finest Italian ingredients and fresh fruit. Our fruit is delivered daily to ensure the highest quality for our range of smoothies, sorbets and gelato. The ingredients for our sorbets are water, fruit and sugar producing a beautiful fat free product.
